SINOKLE has recently secured the bid for the oily‑wastewater treatment project of the oil‑tank farm at Dar es Salaam Port, Tanzania, undertaken by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group. The company will deliver a turn‑key professional oily‑wastewater solution for this national‑level key energy project in Tanzania.

The oil‑tank farm project at Dar Port represents the first petrochemical infrastructure project implemented by China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group in Africa. It is planned to construct 15 oil storage tanks. Upon completion, the project will greatly boost Tanzania’s national oil reserve capacity, improve port oil product turnover efficiency, and underpin energy security across East Africa. Operations within the tank farm generate high‑concentration oily wastewater. Constrained by coastal surroundings, tropical climate and significant water‑quality fluctuations, the project imposes stringent requirements on wastewater‑treatment equipment in terms of operational stability, resistance to variable working conditions and ease of on‑site operation & maintenance.

Drawing on proven engineering experience accumulated from domestic oil‑tank wastewater projects and overseas water‑treatment initiatives across Africa, SINOKLE will deploy multiple self‑developed core patented technologies. Tailored for complex wastewater streams including tank drain‑off water and tank‑farm flushing effluent, the system achieves efficient separation of floating oil, emulsified oil and suspended solids to ensure effluent complies with local environmental‑discharge standards. The equipment features skid‑mounted integration, compact footprint and high adaptability to overseas on‑site operation‑and‑maintenance scenarios.

To date, SINOKLE has delivered a series of benchmark oily‑wastewater projects for large‑scale domestic petrochemical tank farms, Congo oilfields in Africa and heavy‑oil power plants in Sierra Leone. Its equipment has undergone long‑term validation under harsh overseas operating conditions such as high temperature, high humidity and variable water quality, and its technical solutions have gained wide recognition from clients at home and abroad. This latest award marks another milestone for SINOKLE’s deep engagement in environmental supporting works for Belt and Road overseas infrastructure projects, further expanding the application scope of domestically‑manufactured environmental‑protection technologies and equipment within East Africa’s energy‑infrastructure sector.

Going forward, SINOKLE  will continue leveraging its strengths in oily‑wastewater treatment, push forward project delivery with high standards, support green construction of the facility, and supply reliable China‑originated water‑treatment solutions for more overseas energy and port‑petrochemical projects.
